7 PM ET Boston Bruins at Montreal Canadiens

Longtime rivals the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens clash in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series tonight before what should be a raucous crowd at the Bell Centre.

The Bruins knotted the best-of-seven series at three games apiece with a 5-4 win in Game 6 on Saturday in Beantown. Boston scored four goals in a wild third period to push the series to a seventh and deciding game. Boston was a +120 underdog, and the score went over the total of 5. Oddsmakers had the Canadiens as -140 favorites.

Boston has won three of the past four games after Montreal took a commanding 2-0 lead in the series. The Bruins have never come back fro a 3-1 series deficit in the long, rich history of the franchise. The Bruins are 0-20 in series in which they’ve trailed 3-1. Conversely, the Habs are 26-0 all-time when up 3-1.

Carey Price will get the start in net for Montreal, even though he gave up five goals on 36 shots on Saturday, including four in the third period. Price also allowed four third-period goals in Game 5. Tim Thomas, who has a 2.27 GAA and a .925 save percentage in the series, will start for Boston.

Boston has won just once (1-9) in the past 10 meetings in Montreal, and just thrice in the past 14 meetings overall. Montreal is 6-1 SU in its past seven at home; Boston is 3-9 SU in its past 12 on the road.

The game can be seen on VERSUS and CBC.
