Dallas Stars at San Jose Sharks

The Dallas Stars will be trying to extend their winning streak at the HP Pavilion when they visit the San Jose Sharks in a Pacific Division matchup Wednesday night.

The Sharks have won the past three tilts in San Jose, last losing 2-0 on Oct. 17, 2006. Over the past six clashes in San Jose, Dallas is 4-2 SU. Going back further is even more concerning for the Sharks: San Jose is 6-13-1 SU in its past 20 games at home against Dallas.

The Stars’ road dominance bodes well tonight, as the Sharks have been struggling at home, going 1-5 SU in their past six.

Overall, the teams are evenly matched, with each picking up five wins over the past 10 games head-to-head.

In their last game, the Stars (6-6-2 SU) shut out the defending Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks 5-0 in Anaheim on Monday. The Sharks (7-6-1) beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 on Saturday in L.A.

The Sharks will be without injured winger Ryane Clowe (leg).

Dallas is expected to start Marty Turco in goal, according to the Dallas Star-Telegram. Turco got the shut out in Anaheim on Monday. The Sharks will go with Evgeni Nabokov, who got the win in LA.
