Toronto Maple Leafs   New York Rangers
Toronto Maple Leafs at New York Rangers

The Toronto Maple Leafs take a three-game winning streak into Madison Square Garden to face the New York Rangers Thursday night.

It looks like bettors aren’t giving the Leafs much of a chance, as sportsbooks were reporting Thursday afternoon that nearly 64 per cent of wagers were on a Rangers’ win.

New York has a slight edge head-to-head, winning six of the past 10 meetings. The teams last met Nov. 10, when the Rangers edged the Leafs 3-2 in a shootout at the Air Canada Centre.

In their last games, Toronto (11-11-3-3 SU) won its third straight with a 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators at home Tuesday night, and New York (15-10-0-2 SU) lost 4-0 to the Carolina hurricanes at home Monday night.

The Leafs are expected to start Vesa Toskala in net, while the Rangers will go with Henrik Lundqvist.

New York is 21-7 SU in its past 28 home games, while Toronto is 5-14 SU in its past 19 road games. Eight of the past 11 meetings in New York have gone Over the over/under total.

Toronto is 5-6-1-0 SU on the road this season, while New York is 9-5 SU at home.

Betting Line: New York is a 160-moneyline favorite at BetUS. The over/under is 5½.
