Calgary Flames at Tampa Bay Lightning

The Calgary Flames will be looking for their third straight win as they continue an eastern road trip with a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning in a rematch of the 2004 Stanley Cup Final series.

This is just the second time the teams have clashed since Tampa Bay beat Calgary 2-1 in Game 7 on June 7, 2004 to win the hard-fought, seven-game series and the Lightning’s first Stanley Cup championship.

Head-to-head, the Lightning has a 6-3-0-1 edge over the past 10 meetings, which include that best-of-seven series and the last time the teams met on March 10 this year, which resulted in a 3-2 Tampa Bay win in Calgary.

In their last games, the Flames (13-13-5 SU) rallied for a 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers in a shootout Tuesday, and the Lightning (14-14-3 SU) got a 3-2 road win over the Montreal Canadiens. The Lightning had been +150 road underdogs.

Calgary is 6-6-1 SU on the road while Tampa Bay has one of the best home records in the league, 11-3-2 SU.

The total has gone Under in four of Calgary's past six games against Tampa Bay, and Under in five of Tampa Bay's past six home games.

Sportsbooks are reporting a lot of action on Tampa Bay, with 60 per cent of wagers on a Lightning win.

Betting Line: Tampa Bay is a slim, 115-moneyline favorite at BetUS. The over/under is 5½.
