Pittsburgh Penguins at Philadelphia Flyers

The Battle of Pennsylvania adds another chapter tonight when the Pittsburgh Penguins wind up a four-game road trip against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Penguins, who’ve won all three games on the trip and four straight overall, hold a huge edge head-to-head, going 8-2 SU against the Flyers in their past 10 meetings. The Flyers, however, have won both clashes this season – a 5-2 home win on Nov. 10, and a 3-1 win in Pittsburgh on Nov. 7.

In their last game, the Penguins (15-12-2 SU) edged the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 in a shootout on Saturday, as +130 underdogs. The Flyers (15-10-2) lost 2-1 to the Colorado Avalanche on the road last Friday, as +105 road dogs.

Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is listed as day-to-day with an ankle injury, giving Dany Sabourin the start against the Flyers. Sabourin is ranked 8th among NHL goalies with a 2.21 GAA and a .921 Save Percentage. Philadelphia will have Martin Biron in net. Biron is ranked 24th in the league, with a 2.60 GAA and .924 SV%.

Note the “Over” trend in over/under total betting: The total has gone Over in all five of the past five games Pittsburgh has played in Philadelphia, Over in six of Pittsburgh's past seven overall against Philadelphia, and Over in four of Philadelphia's past five at home.

Betting Line: The Flyers are a 140-moneyline favorite at BodogLife. The over/under is 5½.
